The Fragility of Our Brain: The Danger of CTE and Sports

Hello dear readers,Today, we’ll talk about a terrifying reality: Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). This disease, triggered by head impacts, leads to memory loss, depression, and even suicide. Research from Boston University over 17 years found CTE in nearly 10,000 brains. The danger is at our doorstep!

What is CTE?

CTE is a progressive brain destroyer. American football, boxing, soccer (headshots), and rugby are the main culprits. Even small hits build up tau protein, damaging the brain, and it spreads with age. Quitting sports doesn’t stop it.

The Numbers Are Alarming

CTE is in 95% of NFL players, 90% of college players. Over 40% of contact sport athletes dying before 30 have it. An 18-year-old high school footballer took his life—CTE was found in his brain. An English soccer player died at 59, his brain like a 90-year-old’s. Do you want your kids facing this?

Why Can’t the Brain Take It?

Head impacts stretch the brain, tearing nerves and vessels. Even heading a soccer ball is risky! In American football, 2.6 years of play doubles the danger. This isn’t a game—it’s a brain killer!

Solution? Protect Your Kids!

Sports giants hide the truth, but you must act:

  • Keep your kids away from head-hitting sports!

  • Delay full-contact age, cut hits in practice.

  • Ban headers in soccer.

  • Monitor athletes’ brains.

This disease is preventable, but you must step up. Your kids’ future is at stake!

What to Do?

Parents, don’t push your kids into these sports. Focus on brain health, see a doctor if in doubt. Brain donation is key to solving this menace. Don’t ignore the danger!

Final Warning

Our brain is fragile—don’t let sports become a death machine. Save your kids, don’t take this risk! What do you think? I await your comments.
